Carlos Rodriguez '25
Committed to The Phelps School (Prep)

Carlos received an offer from Manhattan College during the summer of his junior year.
Carlos has committed to join forces with The Phelps School Basketball program, one of the best Prep Basketball Programs in the nation.

The Story
-
Late 2022/early 2023, Carlos did not have a single offer. Just five months later, Carlos received his first Division One scholarship offer from Manhattan College (MAAC).
-
FBR worked with the Rodriguez family to identify what colleges are best suited for Carlos at the next level. FBR begin Carlos' development plan to help place him on a path towards the Division One level.
-
FBR was in constant & DIRECT communication daily with college coaches.
-
FBR alerted college coaches as to where Carlos would be playing and followed up with his schedules as they were made available.
- FBR requested feedback from college coaches in order to improve Carlos' play in between live periods.
- Carlos finished his senior season at Scarsdale High School with 1,117 points, one of only four to ever achieve this in their tenure at Scarsdale. He was also All Section, All Conference, and All League for the second consecutive year, helping lead Scarsdale to its first Section final game in nearly a decade.
- FBR attended unofficial and official visits for support and helped in the final decision making.
- Carlos and his family decided to commit to Phelps Prep School Basketball program to further his chance at playing high level collegiate basketball. Reclassing to 2025 is going to be highly beneficial for a player like Carlos who will get stronger, play against elite competition daily, and play a national schedule, only increasing his chances of exposure for the next level.
- FBR is excited to remain a huge part in his recruitment moving forward!
